HHSRS Survey
The Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) covers 29 hazards and is used by Local Authorities. Once an inspection has been carried out, Local Authority Enforcement Officers will determine whether each, identified, hazard is Category 1 or Category 2.
Where a Category 1 hazard has been found, the Local Authority is dutybound to take action and this is likely to be via the service of an Enforcement Notice.
Such Notices do attract a charge, which is usually in the region of £400-700.
If a Notice is served, and you fail to comply then you are liable to prosecution or being served with a Civil Penalty Fine of up to £30,000.

How can we help?
Planwise Property offers HHSRS Surveys, using the same assessment as Local Authority Enforcement Officers use.
We will identify any disrepair within your property and provide you with a Schedule of Works, ensuring you are compliant.
If your property falls within the Mandatory HMO scope we will advise you of additional fire safety requirements.
Damp and mould
Damp and mould is a common issue within properties in the UK. We are able to offer advice on preventative measures and long term solutions. This will be covered within our HHSRS Surveys at no extra cost.
