Our Director, Nadeem Razak, has more than 11 years’ experience in Planning and Housing Enforcement and has worked at numerous local authorities.
Nadeem was part of an award winning team that took robust enforcement action against Outbuildings, and has served numerous demolition notices, removal of facilities notices, and has taken part in countless appeals in which 85% of notices were upheld.
Nadeem knows the sort of evidence the local authority will have when taking enforcement action and knows the level of evidence required for a possible successful appeal and to prevent you from falling foul of other regulations. For example, if your outbuilding is rented to a private tenant and in the event the appeal is dismissed it is extremely important that correct additional compliance time is appealed for so that you do not illegally evict a tenant and are subject to further legal action for an illegal eviction.
In order to protect your outbuilding from further enforcement action under the Housing Act 2004 we will be carrying out a HHSRS inspection and producing a schedule of works as explained here.
